This design is paying homage to the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense. They were a group of Black political, revolutionary beings that started this function on October 15, 1966. The assassination of Malcolm X in 1965 really propelled this mountain-moving group to form and do for themselves what others were waiting for the white man to do for them.
